February 2010 Newsletter

A lot can happen in a few months...

This month, we're going to start the newsletter off with a little story. Last year, in the cold depths of winter, a customer brought in a trumpet for maintenance. It was a brand Robert was unfamiliar with. He was immediately suspicious of its quality, something that was only made worse when the customer told him the trumpet had cost a low price. However, upon inspection, Robert was intrigued to discover that the trumpet was in fact of remarkable quality for a beginner instrument of low cost. He decided to do some research on the brand.

Cecilio Instruments, it turns out, is an instrument manufacturer in China. They take their name from St. Cecilia, the patron saint of music. They engineer their instrument designs with input from both professional musicians and music educators. They are committed to producing quality beginner and intermediate level instruments at reasonable prices.

Robert was interested in the idea of being able to provide our customers with these instruments, so he opened a dealer account with Cecilio and ordered some demo models. Ever the optimist, he was fully prepared for the possibility that the instruments would not be as good as the first trumpet he saw. He was pleasantly surprised once again to discover that the instruments were of good quality, well suited to beginner players.

So now, Frankenhorn proudly presents its newly available line of Cecilio brass and woodwind instruments!

Check out the brass page and the woodwind page for the full listings of the instruments we have for sale. For those of you who like teasers, take a look at the beginner trumpet, flute, and alto saxophone.
